FUNDRAISERS

With the expenses incurred while running a band program, it is necessary to raise funds for the organization throughout the school year. The Band Boosters and band students regularly participate in fundraising sales and events.

Throughout the year, band members sell a variety of items to raise money. Items include but are not limited to: pastas/soups (early Fall), poinsettia flowers (November-December), Yankee Candle (early Fall/Spring), locally-grown hanging baskets (late Spring), charm bracelets, and other assorted items. The list varies from year to year.

The band program/Band Boosters run several different events throughout the year to raise funds and offset costs for members. Events include but are not limited to: the Band-O-Rama OMEA Adjudicated Event and the annual Band Booster Craft Show (November). In addition, Boosters run concessions during all home football games for Marietta High School at Don Drumm Stadium.

BAND BUCKS DISCOUNT CARD


One of our most popular fundraisers is the "Band Bucks" discount card. Cards are sold by band members for $10.00 each, and provide the cardholder with various discounts at over 50 local businesses. With these kinds of savings, the card pays for itself in no time! These cards make great gifts for families, friends, and anyone that lives in the Mid-Ohio Valley!
